Firstly we had a group discussion about films were really liked. From this came a wide variety of old, new, animated and real life movies that people found interesting or inspiring. Of these I wanted to take the more real life approach on making my video and I want my video to have high impact on the viewer. Films such as 12 angry men and such like are films created to bring maximum impact to the viewer, and after watching the film I realised how the sinlge setting of the room changes the whole perception of the film and strategies when filming.
I began by researching Robert Frank and some of his most famous pieces. I find his photography very interesting and compiled a few of his images together simply to start off my ideas. I especially like the way his images are really raw and show everyday life events. Also I like the use of contrast in the images and may use this idea in my video.
